Mythology! Seriously 99% of the plots here have appeared in mythology somewhere. There are no new plots only new contracts. Or something. 

I think that the favoured part thing is Egyptian. 

Oh and needless to say if you&#039;re recognising a fifty year old story then you&#039;re not partying enough. Whatson.</description>

		<description>FWIW I checked with an extremely helpful &quot;Pan Book of Horror&quot; expert (they exist! Well, at least one of them) and he confirmed my original thought. The story was called &quot;Punishment By Proxy&quot; by James Connelly and it was published in the 10th Pan Book of Horror Stories which was  released in 1969. Again, I&#039;m implying no wrong-doing, I was just very taken with the similarity between the stories.</description>
