Thanks, everyone, for taking the time to check this out. I’m happy to hear that many of you enjoyed it despite the atypical choices in voice and structure (while I love a good tale, I also feel that not all fiction must be overtly plot- or character-driven, so long as it has an accessible motivation). Now, back to my dram o’ Scotch…

P.M.L. needs to look up some definitions, it seems (and so do I: “Zen thingy”?). I am guessing that this story is not a retelling of an historical or personal event; neither is it meant to be an actual set of instructions. Also, a parable is a work of fiction told to help teach a lesson. It would therefore seem appropriate to call this particular work of fiction a parable.

Nice work, overall. It is especially difficult to pull of a story using second person. The implication that there is no real choice from each step to the next is a difficult one to take, and an important point to raise.

At first, I didn’t understand this at all and didn’t think it was much of a story *but* the idea of making it a “Choose Your Own Adventure was genuis. Re-reading after yuo’ve realizied this is quite enjoyable.
