Thanks for the post. Very interesting. My parents and I go to Memphis every summer. We go to Graceland, Beale Street, the Sun Studio, and then to the blues clubs for the evening. Always a good time!

I love this. Shades of Hunter S Thompson with a dash of Vonnegut. It makes me want to read more. It makes me want to turn my own words inside out to see what's lurking there.

Awesome.

Good words, Sean. I loved the comment about adverbs. I say, "Death to adverbs!"

BTW: if Gay is offering chips and dip, does that make her Nacho Mama? ;)

Great motivational tool and yes I have used the phrase trick too! My last story at Camroc was inspired by someone's facebook status. I feel in love with the phrase and it inspired me to write a lunch scene. I also dig the paragraph about Schapps and Walmart. Now I don't feel alone for I am constantly studying others and have been known to break open the wine for deeper insight.

Gay, make sure you throw in extra sour cream!
