- The prompt for String-of-10 Four will be available at 12:01 on Sunday, February 12, 2012 here at FFC.
- There is no entry fee.

First, second, and third place winners are eligible to also win this prize, but any story that is submitted that best uses this theme may win.

Flash Fiction Chronicles is listed in the 2010 November/December issue of Writers' Digest as one of the 25 Best Online Consumer Magazine Markets for writers.
I had this scheduled for today at 12:01 and that usually means it pubs in the middle of the night but obviously FAIL. My apologies. Next year I will have to stay awake to meet the deadline. Any way go for it. There’s $$$$ involved.

Nice! I just put a link to this up on my blog. May you receive many amazing entries.
Hey Gay,
Excited for the contest again this year. If there’s a submission link in the article for contest entries, I’ve missed it (a couple of times now).

Are plural, verbal or past tense forms of the words allowed?
Like could Jar be Jars or edge be edges or wage be waged?
You can use any tense of the words and any recognizable form. “Jargon” would not qualify while “jar-like” chin would.
Do you happen to know if it counts when a prompt word appears in the title?
You can use a prompt word in the title.
Managed to craft a sly tale in 250 words, and sent it in.
Hopefully there is some poetry in it.
