Poor Steven, he's been working very hard these days both here and at FFC. A big thank you is overdue.
Also I want to state that i've given my permission to Michael Sherlock to produce a podcast of "The London Eye." Is this official enough???

I just submitted one...did it go through correctly?
Yes we got it, Sounds great. I need to add the intro and extro music and it should be ready to go.
I still have to add the acceptance email function to the podcast system so you won't get an email for a few days but your podcast has been accepted!. (In less then 20hours woot!)
I will let you know when we publish it, probably the 15th of dec.
Thank you!

Hello again,
Well, now that my cold has appeared to have cleared up a bit, I think I will have a crack at a story this weekend.
Sounds like you have a handle on how you want this to work as well.
Quick blush ego question:) If I have a story on EDF that may be published soon, could I go ahead and read it if it did get accepted? (I've been asked to do some edits, which I agreed with and am more than happy to do). End of blush ego question:)
One thing I will do, is to link the podcast page off my own site. Its not back up and running yet after being hacked but it might help a little bit when it is.
Cheers!

Three things I should note;
You should wait for the acceptance emails before you do the podcast. I don't have any influence on when the editors publish the stories, thats there jobs. It could take a month or two after a story has been accepted to actually get published (usually its the next month). I believe that we give you a good lead time between when the story is accepted and when it is published on the site.
If you do have a podcast ready before the story is published we will include it with the story. Please Please Please
contact us
before hand so we know.
Having a podcast of your story ready to go won't influence the slush readers decision on to accept your story. (Just a note for others, drt since you are on the revision stage this does not effect your story)

Yes please, a little bio wouldn't hurt either. < 200 words

Thanks Steven,
I'm going to try a few readings of other people's work first anyway. I often find that a bit more interesting than reading my own stuff, it gives you a good feel for the writers voice and I sometimes find subtle nuances that I perhaps didn't get when just reading.
How often are you intending on publishing a podcast?

We are going to try for once a week at the start. I have 10 podcasts ready to go, (including the on that M.Sherlock did). If we start receiving a bunch of submissions each week I will increase it to once every 2 days if we get tons then once a day.
We are thinking of publishing it on Saturday each week. Just in time for the weekend.
Currently my ToDo list looks like this.
- Email submissions, Received, acceptance /Rejection, Publication,
- Hold system, The ability to put something on hold.
- ITunes, and other podcast publishing sites. Advertisement.
- Allow authors to give permission for old stories not in the database.
- Author 30 day 'First chance' lead time.
- Submission guildlines clean up and revisions.
