I was tickled pink to find that my story "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes" is nominated for 2008 Preditors and Editors Readers' Awards in the sf/fantasy short story category!  You can read it at Abandoned Towers http://cyberwizardproductions.com/AbandonedTowers/

To my unabashed delight, when I went over to the polling pages to cast some votes for Every Day Fiction, I discovered that Smoke is flying high at around tenth place, currently, in the running. If you have read the story, and like the story, and would like to nudge Smoke with a little more updraft, you can cast votes at  http://www.critters.org/predpoll/.
 
This is a good opportunity to announce that a new Smoke story will be appearing in a couple weeks at Abandoned Towers, followed by another Smoke story about once every three weeks thereafter.
