With a little over one month left to launch, I’ve got to say we’re chomping at the bit! Though our first issue doesn’t hit the presses until September 1st, the response has been tremendous. It seems that a lot of people share our love of bite-size fiction.

For the reader:

We have some really tasty fiction lined up for you, including work by: Beth Langford, Resha Caner, K.A.Patterson, Jeanne Holtzman, and many others. We’ve accepted stories in nearly all genres, from pulp fiction, to contemporary fiction to humour, so there should be something to please everyone.

We’ve got some great ideas in mind to make this site more interactive. Here are some of the features we plan to offer:

• The ability to interact with authors via the comments thread.
• Search stories by author or genre.
• Author interview of our most read authors.

If you haven’t subscribed yet, please enter your e-mail address in the black subscribe button in the side bar. Don’t worry, we won’t sell your e-mail address or spam you, but what you will get is great fiction in your inbox… every day!

And remember, we’re ad supported so all this is going to be absolutely free.

For the contributor:

We’ve been accepting submissions for about two weeks now and we’ve already snapped up some great work. Your story could be next!

Camille and I have been doing our best to respond in a timely fashion to your submissions. We’re still issuing personal critiques with every response, but I’m not sure how long we can keep that up, so now is the time to submit. If you haven’t heard from us yet, don’t worry! We’re averaging a little over 3 days return time right now. If it’s been longer than 4 days, your story is most likely in our “maybe” pile, which, of course, is a good thing.

We still have a few (and I mean few) slots open for September so keep those submissions coming. We look forward to reading you!
